Anti-Bullying Week 2026: Break The Silence
Everyday we connect with people in our homes, schools, workplaces and communities and every person deserves to feel heard, respected and safe.
Millions of children, young people and adults experience bullying behaviour every year, and many never speak about it. Some stay silent when they are being bullied. Others stay quiet when they witness it happening, or when they feel pressured to join in themselves. But when bullying behaviour goes unchallenged, it can continue to grow.
This Anti-Bullying Week, it is time to Break The Silence.
Today, bullying behaviour takes many forms. It can happen face-to-face, online, across social media and digital platforms. In a world that can often feel divided and unkind, young people notice these behaviours — and it affects how safe and included they feel.
This Anti-Bullying Week, we want to change that.
We’re encouraging young people to share their experiences, speak up, and know they will be heard. We’re also calling on schools, families, communities, and organisations to listen, support one another, and take action.
Because when we Break The Silence around bullying behaviour, we can stop it before it becomes ‘normalised’.
So join us this year as we come together across schools, workplaces, communities, and organisations to stand against bullying behaviour and create positive change. Together, we can build a world where everyone feels safe, valued, supported, and included.
From Playgrounds to Parliament, and from our phones to our homes, this Anti-Bullying Week — and beyond — BulliesOut is calling on everyone to Break The Silence. By speaking up, supporting one another, and challenging bullying behaviour wherever it happens, we can help create a culture where respect, kindness, and inclusion are the norm.
When we look out for each other and treat everyone with compassion and understanding, bullying behaviour has less space to grow. Even one small act of kindness can create a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the classroom. Together, our voices are stronger — and together, we can make a difference.
Throughout the week, we’ll be encouraging schools, workplaces, and youth settings to open conversations about bullying behaviour and create spaces where people feel safe to speak up and be heard – because Breaking The Silence starts with knowing you will be listened to and supported.
Our Call To Action
Children and young people are being encouraged to Break the Silence and start a national conversation about how we can handle disagreements and differences of opinion without turning to bullying behaviour.
It’s a call to speak up, challenge unkind behaviour, and support one another to choose kindness — not as a weakness, but as a powerful act of strength.
Millions of people are affected by bullying behaviour and it can leave a person feeling devastated. But, if we challenge it, we can change it. So let’s all start by Breaking The Silence.
Let’s Break The Silence and start a national conversation to encourage children, young people and adults to speak out about bullying behaviour and insults. If you experience it, or see it happening, Break The Silence. Your voice matters.
Support is vital to those affected by bullying behaviour so whether in schools, the community, at home, in the workplace or online, let’s all Break The Silence and reach out, because being kind is so important and really does #makeadifference.
Reflecting on our own behaviour, setting positive examples and creating kinder communities is the responsibility of everyone. Children and young people, parents and teachers, influencers and politicians, we all need to Break The Silence if we see bullying behaviour happening. Together, we can be the change we want to see.

Throughout Anti-Bullying Week we will:
