Anti-Bullying Week 2021

15th Nov 2021

The 15th-19th November marks Anti – Bullying Week 2021. This year’s theme is ‘One Kind Word’, to highlight the impact we can all have with just #OneKindWord to another.

It is easy to overlook the difference we can make to another through one simple act. Often, we are under the misapprehension that to effect change we need to make a grand gesture; however, it is often the smallest of acts that are remembered and that truly can make all the difference to another.

This week across the country we join together in trying to change the narrative and put an end to bullying behaviour. Want to get involved? Here’s how you can:

  • Say just #OneKindWord to another and see what a difference it can make.
  • Ask if you can deliver a session in your school or workplace promoting the benefits of kindness and how it can help another.
  • If you see someone struggling this week – check in with them; ask them if they are ok. When someone is being bullied, they can feel at their most vulnerable. Knowing someone is checking in on them can make them feel supported and less isolated and therefore more likely to open-up and disclose they are struggling. Your actions can change a life.
  • Support your child’s school in their campaign.
  • Become a member of BulliesOut – for just £5 per year you can become a member of our community and help us to make a difference in the lives of so many.
  • Print off some of our posters and flyers from our website and hand them out in your communities. Or ask a local business if they would like to support us for Anti Bullying Week and provide them with the posters and flyers. Support from businesses can make such a big difference to us.
  • Download our free activities here. We would love to see your finished products so please share them and tag us in on social media.

Whatever it is you choose to do to support Anti Bullying week, never forget the impact of your actions.

As the Dalai Lama once said ‘Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.’
