Be Friends With Bert- A Book About Kindness for Children

£4.95

Wonderfully written by our very own Lucy Howard and beautifully illustrated by children from Year 5 in Glyngaer Primary School, Hengoed, ‘Be Friends With Bert’ thoughtfully explores feelings to do with being bullied.

No child is born a bully and to label them as such can cause real harm. This book highlights that to children, and encourages them to promote kindness in their everyday interactions.

Kindness must be taught and practiced. This is a learned behavior, not something we are born with.  Giving children the tools they need to choose kindness is a huge step toward ending bullying behaviour in schools and even the workplace as these children grow into adults.

We all have kindness inside us. Let’s make sure we help every child understand how important it is.
