Join us for this trek and climb the highest mountain in South Wales whilst taking in some of the most spectacular scenery in the British Isles! You will also be helping us recover financially from the impact of Covid-19.
OPEN TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGES.
On Saturday, 14th May 2022, we’d love to make this an event to remember by turning Pen y Fan purple with as many walkers as possible wearing our signature purple tee shirts.
Pen y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales, situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres (2,907 ft) above sea-level, it is also the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia .
The twin summits of Pen y Fan and Corn Du at 873 m (2,864 ft) were formerly referred to as Cadair Arthur or ‘Arthur’s Seat’.
The walk up Pen y Fan from the Pont-Yr-Daf car park is around 2-3 hours in total and will take us up the footpath and to the summit of Corn Du. We’ll then do the last bit of short ascent to the summit of Pen y Fan where we can take some photos and have a rest before descending back down via the Brecon Beacons Way National Trail.
Our team member Jay will be leading a team, in aid of BulliesOut, to the top of Pen y Fan. Wearing our signature purple tee shirts, participants will turn Pen y Fan purple as they head up over a 2-3 hour circuit of Corn Du, or alternatively you can just walk up to the top of Pen Y Fan and back down.
The walk up Pen y Fan from the Storey Arms car park is around 2-3 hours in total and will take us up the footpath and to the summit of Corn Du (873m) We’ll then do the last bit of short ascent to the summit of Pen y Fan where we can get some photos and take a rest before descending back down via the Brecon Beacons Way National Trail and back to the Storey Arms Outdoor Centre.
