Understanding and Exploring Bullying For Parents

About this training

Bullying happens in every school and every community and whilst there is much awareness of the issue, it can often be misunderstood. It is very worrying that so many young people suffer from bullying on a daily basis. In light of such statistics and growing public concern, it is important that all parents have a clearer understanding of bullying and what they can do to if their child is affected by it.

Who should attend?

This training will be of interest to parents, carers, guardians.

Training aims

This interactive and informative 2 hour training will help participants to develop a clearer understanding of bullying, how bullying can manifest and how to recognise the signs of bullying.

Topics Include:

  • Developing a clearer understanding of bullying
  • Recognising the signs of bullying
  • Exploring the wider effects of bullying
  • Bullying –V- Relational Conflict
  • Working with schools to address bullying

All those who attend the workshop will receive:

  • An information handbook
  • An opportunity to meet other parents/carers and share experiences
