Through our workshops, resources, support and training programmes, we aim to educate people on the impact of bullying behaviour, and ultimately reduce the proliferation of bullying in schools and workplaces. For those currently struggling with the impact of bullying behaviour, we provide much-needed counselling and e-mentoring support.

Our Year in Numbers
- This year we have worked with a total of 152 schools.
- Delivered to 9 new businesses.

Our Services and Projects
This year we continued to deliver services and expand on our projects to help those affected by bullying behaviours.
These include:
Peer Mentoring
We delivered our award winning mentoring programme, Peer2Peer to over 500 young people in 2023. Peer2Peer to train young people in valuable skills such as active listening, confidentiality, and managing conflict. We also delivered our programme Playground Pals to 202 primary school children in 2023, empowering them to promote inclusion, friendship and kindness through games, art, stories and drama.
School Workshops
In the past 12 months, we delivered inclusive, engaging and age-appropriate workshops to 9830 children and young people! The sessions are designed to encourage debate and participation in order to motivate children and young people to create safer, happier Environments. In 2023, we also delivered our Stand Up, Speak Out, Stay Safe assembly to 4197 children in schools throughout the UK.
e-Mentoring
As face-to-face counselling can be a scary step for many people, e-Mentoring is an alternative solution that encourages open and honest conversation. Our e-Mentoring service offers one-to-one support via email to those affected by bullying. This year we provided 2010 e-Mentoring sessions for those in need.
Counselling
Our Talk2Us counselling service provides people with a safe space in which to explore the bullying behaviour they’ve experienced, while rebuilding their self-confidence and self-belief. We delivered 60 counselling sessions this year.
Workplace training
In 2023, we delivered training to 256 adults through our ‘Lunch & Learn Sessions’, promoting mental and physical well-being whilst building social skills and confidence. We also delivered CPD certified training to a further 592 adults in the workplace, empowering people to create a positive working environment.
Parents, Carers and Guardians
This year we worked with 201 parents, carers and guardians to build on their anti-bullying knowledge and skills through carefully created training sessions.
School Staff Award
This year we ran our third annual school staff award, in partnership with our friends at the Anti-Bullying Alliance. The award was created to recognise and celebrate school staff who go beyond the call of duty to support children and young people and is unique in that all nominations come directly from pupils and winners are chosen by a panel of young people. This year we had over 400 nominations submitted throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Thank you to everyone who submitted! Our prizes were generously submitted by Radnor Fam.

- “Miss Ali is kind and caring: She taught us how to react to different types of bullying and listens when someone is talking about something that is going on.”

Fundraising for us
This year, we saw passionate individuals, dedicated school groups and hard-working corporate teams raising vital funds for BulliesOut through a range of activities. Some of the events and challenges undertaken in 2023 included;
- Sponsored runs/walks including our annual Step into September campaign and the Cardiff Half Marathon
- A sponsored skydive from 12,000 feet
- Abseiling from Newport Transporter Bridge
- Climbing Pen Y Fan
- Bake sales and fancy dress campaigns

As you have seen in this report, our work has made a massive difference to people this year, but we couldn’t have done it alone. The Road Ahead
Our mission is to support individuals, schools, youth and community settings and the workplace through positive and innovative anti-bullying and well-being programmes and to empower individuals to achieve their full potential, and this forms the catalyst for our future journey.
We have conducted a SWOT analysis and have identified the internal and external factors affecting our charity. In our strategy, we have planned how we will leverage our strengths, address weaknesses, capitalise on opportunities and mitigate threats. This will enable us to successfully navigate the road ahead. We understand the importance of transparent communication with stakeholders and we will ensure that our beneficiaries, partners, funders, employees, volunteers and other relevant parties are kept informed and engaged throughout the journey. We are looking forward to expanding our range and developing new campaigns, programmes and projects.
To help us do this, we will grow and develop our team – both employed and voluntary. In the New Year we will be opening our first Pre-Loved Charity Shop. Based in Cardiff, this long-term vision of ours is finally becoming a reality. We have been busy collecting and preparing donations and the doors will open on January 29th 2024. The shop will not only help us raise much needed funds, but will also raise awareness and we hope that it will become an integral part of the community.
